Mitchell & Ness
In 1904, Mitchell & Ness began crafting tennis racquets, golf clubs, and local sports uniforms. Over time, they evolved into a globally recognised brand producing historically accurate, vintage jerseys and apparel across major leagues, including MLB, NFL, NBA, NCAA, and MLS. The company is headquartered in the US and has been using Oracle NetSuite since 2016 to support its expanding operations. In 2022, they were acquired by Fanatics and a high-profile investment group, including Jay-Z, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant.
As part of their growth strategy, Mitchell & Ness sought to strengthen their UK operations. They needed a technology solution to provide a unified view of their global business—particularly around financials, sales, and distribution.
The UK arm of Mitchell & Ness was operating independently, using separate systems for finance, sales, and inventory. This led to siloed data and manual processes that hindered efficiency and slowed decision-making. The lack of integration with the US NetSuite instance meant reporting was piecemeal, and the company couldn’t rely on real-time consolidated information across regions.
Additionally, while the US relied on 3PL partners for warehousing, the UK managed its own facility, which posed a challenge when integrating NetSuite’s Warehouse Management System (WMS). The original NetSuite accounting setup in the US wasn’t configured for a GBP-based subsidiary, making the expansion technically complex.
Mitchell & Ness chose NoBlue2 as their NetSuite implementation partner due to the team’s proven retail experience and deep knowledge of NetSuite architecture. The project required close collaboration with the US NetSuite team and the newly established UK office.
The UK team also gained the ability to manage orders directly in NetSuite, with automated picking slips, labels, and booking of carrier services such as FedEx.
Mitchell & Ness unlocked real, tangible improvements across the business by bringing the UK subsidiary into the global NetSuite environment. From greater visibility to smarter warehouse operations, the benefits were felt immediately:
Mitchell & Ness operates with a unified, cloud-based ERP system across continents. With real-time visibility, scalable warehouse processes, and reduced manual workloads, the business is better positioned to support its next phase of global growth. The successful collaboration between Mitchell & Ness and NoBlue2 has delivered long-term operational and strategic value.
Following the success of the UK subsidiary integration, Mitchell & Ness continues to partner with NoBlue2 for ongoing NetSuite enhancements. With global growth still a key objective under new ownership, the focus will likely remain on refining warehouse operations, strengthening reporting capabilities, and scaling infrastructure across other international markets.
