Background

Miki Travel, founded in 1967, is a globally recognised travel service provider offering a vast portfolio of travel products, including transfers, accommodations, and excursions. Headquartered in London, UK, the company operates worldwide, facilitating daily travel bookings.

With a strong reputation in the industry, Miki Travel serves a diverse clientele, from independent travellers to large corporate clients, providing comprehensive travel solutions tailored to their needs.

Initial Challenge

Miki Travel was using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, which was taken out of support. In addition, the outdated system presented several limitations that hindered operational efficiency and growth. Some of the key challenges included:

  • Integration capabilities: The existing ERP system was not designed to seamlessly integrate with modern business applications, leading to fragmented workflows and inefficiencies.
  • Manual and time-consuming financial processes: Staff were burdened with repetitive manual tasks, which increased the risk of errors and reduced overall productivity.
  • Limited data visibility and reporting capabilities: The business lacked real-time insights into financial and operational performance, making it difficult to make informed decisions.
  • Need for a cloud-based solution: As the company grew, scalability and remote accessibility became critical factors for operational success. Transitioning to a cloud-based system was necessary to stay competitive.
